ALTER EGO :
Alter Ego is an ongoing series of wearables that act as second skins. Performative garments and overalls that allow for freedom of movement while enhancing one’s true self.
The inaugural capsule includes three different levels; Level 0 : the «Mermaid», a more adaptable fit, practical for the everyday wear, Level 1 : the «Outer Space», a partial spacesuit, more eccentric, inspired by dance clothing, Level -1 : the «Stamina», offers less coverage but empowerment by a contrast in the composition of strong elements.
Three different layers in which the body is maintained, supported, revealed.
All with the intention to remain comfortable and light to wear, to be the most imperceptible against the skin, unless intended, as per the harness, which provides a feeling of security amidst a more minimalist ensemble.
The patterns follow the karmic lines of the body through the emergence of prominent veins on the surface, minimising excess material to facilitate the flow of energy and revealing the wearer’s intrinsic essence.
Looking ahead, I mainly want to focus on developing the «Spacesuits», always refining my designs to elevate the body’s energy and promote its fluidity, integrating new technologies to amplify the synergy between the tangible physical body and the human psyche, transcribing these feelings and analyses into the open and towards an altered version of altruism.
I envision a new dimension to sharing emotions, a new realm inviting others into a deeper connection and understanding of one’s inner self.
Originally intended for movement and performance, I want it to become an effortless and discrete device of communication, a subtle conduit for emotions.
